While the Annual Conference has the format of the usual conference, submitted papers and talks in topical sessions, the IW has protracted, more lengthy discussion sessions that provide more time for working out the problems and pursuing the insights of the Working Groups, Committee’s, and Funded Projects. The Annual Conference and IW are usually held six months apart.
