The ISSP will have Local Chapters (usually city or county based) as well as National Divisions. Because of the proximity of these units, Chapters and Divisions are encouraged to organize and publicize their own meetings with the caveat that these should not be in conflict with ISSP international events. Such local meetings often contribute to the reputation of the local members and lead to society Awards.
